Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the skin and holds water: in a cosmetic it acts as a moisture magnet that leaves skin plumper and dehydration lines less visible. It doesn't replace a moisturiser (it hydrates but doesn't seal) and has nothing to do with injectable hyaluronic acid. Serums that combine different molecular weights hydrate at several depths; high-weight ones sit on the surface for immediate comfort. It suits every skin type, oily and sensitive included, and works best applied on slightly damp skin so it has water to hold.
