HydraFacial vs deep facial cleanse — which should you choose?

Two popular treatments with different goals. Here we help you decide which one fits your skin and your moment.

HydraFacial vs deep facial cleanse — which should you choose?

Both protocols are excellent, but they answer different needs. Here's the summary in five points.

What does each one do?

  • HydraFacial combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration using a machine with a vacuum tip and active serums. It's fast, comfortable and requires no downtime.
  • Deep facial cleanse is a more thorough, hands-on protocol: diagnosis, double cleanse, enzymatic exfoliation, manual extraction, high frequency, a bespoke mask and massage.

For which skin type?

  • HydraFacial is ideal for dehydrated, dull or sensitive skin that doesn't tolerate manual extraction well.
  • The deep cleanse works best for combination or oily skin with comedones, where manual extraction makes the difference.

How often?

  • HydraFacial: monthly, as maintenance.
  • Deep cleanse: every 4–6 weeks depending on skin type.

What's the ideal combination?

Many clients alternate the two: a deep cleanse every 2 months + a HydraFacial in between for maintenance.
